Finałowa konferencja projektu „Triangle for Ukrainian Artists" (TUA)
Final Conference of the "Triangle for Ukrainian Artists" (TUA) Project
In September we will conclude the two-year international project Triangle for Ukrainian Artists (TUA) with a final conference summarizing our joint efforts. Over the past two years, together with partners from Sweden, Ukraine, and Poland, we have sought answers to the question of how culture – and especially theatre – can function and develop in times of war and crisis. We engaged in dialogue with artists, institutions, and experts to formulate recommendations aimed at strengthening the resilience of the cultural sector in its most challenging moments.
The project was based on cooperation between Ukraine, Poland, and Sweden, with the aim of supporting the work of Ukrainian playwrights. It included literary residencies, networking meetings, professional support, and translations. The result is ten theatrical plays by Ukrainian authors, translated into Swedish and made available online.
As a project partner, the Villa Decius Institute for Culture has from the very beginning emphasized the importance of artistic freedom, intercultural solidarity, and building cultural resilience through community. These values have long been at the heart of the Institute's mission – a place where art meets dialogue and culture becomes a space of mutual support.
