Willa Decjusza open to visitors – come and discover Kraków’s architecture from a different perspective 22.12.2025 There are places that naturally slow the pace and let you experience the city differently. Willa Decjusza — a Renaissance residence and a truly unique landmark on Kraków’s cultural map — invites you to visit on selected days in December. From Residency to Stage. How Willa Decjusza Consistently Supports Artists and Brings Their Work to the Public 20.12.2025 At Willa Decjusza, culture does not happen by chance. Nothing here is accidental, temporary, or done “just because.” Ideas are developed, texts are given time and space, and artists receive real, long-term support. A perfect example of this approach is the Marathon of Dramatic Miniatures, taking place on 20 December at 7:00 PM at the Machinery Building of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Kraków. This event did not appear out of nowhere. It grew out of a carefully designed creative process. International Residency “Crossroads of Cultures” | Kraków + Ivano-Frankivsk (formerly Stanisławów) 19.12.2025 The Willa Decjusza Culture Institute, as part of the reading-promotion programme “Tekstura”, in cooperation with the Centre of Polish Culture and European Dialogue in Ivano-Frankivsk, invites applications for the international residency “Crossroads of Cultures”. Holiday Saturday at Strzelnica na Woli – a community that truly works 18.12.2025 Holiday Saturday at Strzelnica na Woli was a day that clearly demonstrated the role a cultural institution can and should play at the local level. For several hours, Strzelnica became a space for meeting, conversation, shared creation and mindful togetherness. Over the course of the day, more than 100 people took part in the events – neighbours, families, children, seniors and visitors who simply wanted to spend time in an open and welcoming atmosphere. Together Towards Our Goal – a meeting that shows why places like Strzelnica na Woli matter 13.12.2025 The NGO networking meeting “Together Towards Our Goal” held at Strzelnica na Woli clearly demonstrated how essential open and accessible spaces for dialogue and cooperation are today. Once again, Strzelnica confirmed its role as a place that brings together institutions, non-governmental organizations, residents of Kraków, and everyone willing to co-create this space. Shared Sounds: Morocco – an evening that opened a new chapter 12.12.2025 The Shared Sounds: Morocco concert was much more than a musical performance. It was an evening filled with encounters, energy, intense colours and sounds that will stay with us for a long time. Andrzejki Seniors’ Dance Party at Strzelnica na Woli – dance, joy, and community at its best 01.12.2025 Strzelnica na Woli once again proved to be a place where the true heart of the local community beats. On November 28, 2025, the former shooting range transformed into a real ballroom — filled with music, laughter, dancing, and neighborhood energy. The Andrzejki dance party for seniors was not only an opportunity to celebrate together, but also a symbolic tribute to intergenerational connection and the joy of life. “So Much Beauty Is Born from Longing.” Summary of the Meeting with Barbara Elmanowska at Villa Decius 01.12.2025 The literary evening with Barbara Elmanowska, laureate of the Witold Gombrowicz Literary Award, became one of the most moving moments of this autumn at Villa Decius. The conversation, moderated by Dr habil. Anna Spólna, revealed the layers of Woliera – a novel powerful, tender, and painfully relevant. The meeting once again confirmed how central literature is to the mission of the Villa Decius Institute of Culture, especially now, as our new space at the Strzelnica on Wola allows us to expand this work even further. The premiere of “Radar” at Villa Decius. An evening that proved literature truly crosses borders 19.11.2025 The trilingual Radar has returned with a new issue – bold, demanding, and painfully relevant. The premiere at Villa Decius brought together not only readers but also members of the diplomatic corps, artists, and everyone for whom literature is a tool of dialogue. It was an evening that reminded us that words still hold the power to change reality.
