On 1st October, in the name of all the project partners, director of the VDIC Dominika Kasprowicz passed over 1oo novels, reportages, history books, essays, albums and poetry books to Agnieszka Staniszewska-Mól, acting director of the Krakow Library.
2th edition of the "Multicultural Library" project
Krakow's inhabitants – including non-Polish speakers – will soon be able to borrow beautiful albums, history books, reportages, and essays covering the topic of minorities, freedom, and multiculturalism, but also fiction books in foreign languages or by foreign writers, translated into Polish, and Wisława Szymborska's poetry in languages of the whole world!
During the Multicultural Festival – New Cracovians, the event partner – Villa Decius Institute for Culture – organized another edition of the "Multicultural Library" project in cooperation with the Krakow Library.
The project is aimed at the multicultural community of Krakow inhabitants, who use the services of the Krakow Library: students of Krakow's universities and language schools, as well as book lovers and members of book clubs. We invited Krakow-based consulates, cultural institutions, and publishing houses to join the project and asked them to provide books in foreign languages and publications of foreign writers translated into Polish.
On 1st October, in the name of all the project partners, director of the VDIC Dominika Kasprowicz passed 140 novels, reportages, history books, essays, albums and poetry books to Agnieszka Staniszewska-Mól, acting director of the Krakow Library. The books delivered during the project will enrich the library's collection of books in foreign languages and Polish translations of books by foreign writers.

The "Multicultural Library" project is part of the Multicultural Festival – New Cracovians organized from 23 September to 3 October, 2021 by the Villa Decius Association and Internationaler Bund Poland Foundation – operator of the Multicultural Center in Krakow, in the partnership with the Villa Decius Institute for Culture, with the financial support from the city and the "Open Krakow" program.
