From November 3rd to 12th, the Villa Decius hosted the second session of the European Diploma in Cultural Project Management – a pan-European training program aimed at supporting cultural diversity, as well as transregional and transnational cultural exchange.
The European Diploma is not an academic program but rather training tailored to the needs of young, experienced professionals actively engaged in the field or ready to initiate their own cultural cooperation projects. The program consists of two residential stages, each lasting 9 days (Session I – Dublin, Ireland; Session II – Krakow, Poland), and a concluding 5-day seminar (Delphi, Greece 2024). In this year's edition, 7 cultural managers from countries including Ireland, Sweden, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, and Poland are participating.
The Villa Decius Institute for Culture, in collaboration with the Marcel Hicter Association, hosted the second session of the Diploma. During this session, participants took part in lectures, workshops, and training sessions held at Villa Decius. Additionally, they embarked on a series of study visits, including the Salt Mine in Wieliczka, Nikiszowiec in Katowice, and a guided tour of the Old Town in Krakow.
