Announcement of results 12.08.2024
We know the results of this year's call for screenwriting grants from the Polish side.
A play about the search for one's own identity and sexual emancipation, an absurd comedy about a young hairdresser dreaming about international artistic career, a film script based on the popular cultural motif of party games set in the aesthetics of magical realism - these are the projects that artists from Poland will be working on in autumn as part of the Polish-German scriptwriting scholarships at Villa Decius.
Anna Fam-Rieskaniemi, Marcin Miętus, Przemysław Pilarski and Szymon Radzio are the residents and fellows selected from the Polish side for this year's Forum for Dialogue of Cultures scholarship programme.
The names of the scholarship holders from Germany will be announced at the beginning of September.
(The call for applications is open until the end of August:https://willadecjusza.pl/en/news/second-round-of-call-for-scriptwriting-scholarships-is-open)
As a summary of the project, fragments of the texts written during the scholarship holders' and scholarship holders' stay at Villa Decius will be presented in Krakow in December 2024 as a marathon of mini-performances, prepared by artists from the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow and students from the Krakow AST.
The project is organized by the Villa Decius in cooperation with the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation, the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin and the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow.
