A training session on the accessibility of Villa Decius took place yesterday.
What is the difference between Polish Sign Language and the sign language system? How to read Braille letters? How do apps work for blind and deaf people? How and when to offer assistance to people with special needs? How to adapt our programme and spaces so that everyone can benefit?
In order to better understand the needs of people with special needs and to be able to adequately prepare a programme offer for them concerning the ongoing project "The history of Villa Decius from the time of Justus Decius to the present day", on 25 April, together with the Altix team and the Chance for the Blind Foundation, the entire staff of Villa Decius learned about the world of people with various disabilities.
The training is provided as part of the 'Culture without Barriers' project run by the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Institut fur Bildung und Kultur e.V and the Foundation for Culture without Barriers as part of measure 4.3 of the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020 co-financed by the European Social Fund.
