Villa Decius – a place for culture, dialogue and shared European values 02.10.2025
For years, Villa Decius has been actively promoting Polish culture and protecting our heritage – not only on the local level, but also in the international arena. One of our key goals is to build bridges through art, literature and shared cultural initiatives.
That is why we:
– support translators of Polish literature (Karl Dedecius Prize),
– host international writers and artists in residence,
– run fellowship and grant programs,
– and publish RADAR, an international literary magazine bringing together diverse voices, languages and perspectives.
Today, we are especially pleased to welcome representatives of communities engaged in Polish-German dialogue at Villa Decius. This meeting, held on the occasion of German Unity Day, is not only a symbolic celebration – it is also an opportunity to talk about what connects us: European values, respect for diversity, and the need for openness.
We are honored to co-create a space where culture becomes a starting point for cooperation, understanding and building a shared future.
