The Villa Decius Institute for Culture will continue cooperation with the Multicultural Centre in Krakow in 2024-2025.
We are happy to announce that in 2024 and 2025, the Villa Decius Institute for Culture will continue cooperation with the Multicultural Centre in Krakow in its next edition. As a partner of the Centre, IKWD will organize a number of cultural events addressed to the multicultural community of Krakow, including: integration and educational workshops for children, making Villa Decius available for tours with a multilingual guide, and anti-discrimination workshops, as well as the continuation of the "Culture in Exile" project. The Multicultural Centre is an initiative co-financed from the budget of the city of Krakow, operating since 2021. Its functioning is consistent with the strategy of the local government “Open Krakow” Programme, which creates space and tools for the integration of foreigners in the city. The Centre conducts educational activities related to introducing the idea of multiculturalism to the inhabitants of Krakow, as well as activating the multicultural local community.
The operator of the Center is the Internationaler Bund Polska Foundation, which carries out the activity in broad cooperation with partners: The Villa Decius Institute for Culture, Zustricz Foundation, The Halina Niec Legal Aid Center, Krakow Expats Directory, Multiculturalism & Migration Observatory, and Jagiellonian Centre for Migration Studies.The new headquarters of the Multicultural Centre & Foreigners Information Point run within it are located in Socio-Economic Innovation Cluster at Zabłocie Street 20.
