Stories 360 - we invite you to the anniversary exhibition 12.01.2026
For 30 years, Villa Decius has been a place open to Krakow and Europe, to conversation and different languages, to memory and new ideas. That's why we're celebrating this anniversary not with a "solemn academy," but with an exhibition that allows us to step into history—literally.
"Stories in 360°" is a site-specific exhibition that combines archival materials with a modern visitor experience. The starting point is materials collected over the years: photographs, recordings, documents, and traces of the presence of those who shaped this place—residents, artists, researchers, and guests from Poland and abroad. It tells the story of the Villa as a space for encounter: a Renaissance residence that today thrives on culture and dialogue.
The exhibition also utilizes digital narrative mapping—through which the Villa's interiors "come to life," and the past becomes an experience, not just a caption under a display case. In "Stories in 360°," history is not viewed from a distance. Here, history has a voice, light, and rhythm—leading the viewer through the layers of memory of the place.
The exhibition is accompanied by guided tours that allow us to see more: the architectural context, threads from archival research, and how and why we combine old materials with new technologies. This is a great option for those who like a guided story, not just an exit arrow.
