Radar Launch Party at Miłosz Festival 30.06.2026

On 27 June, we traditionally presented the new issue of the literary magazine Radar at the Miłosz Festival.
It has become a tradition for each new issue of Radar to premiere at the Miłosz Festival before the start of summer.

You can read about what this, the largest issue in Radar's history, has to offer here.

To celebrate the launch, we organised a panel discussion featuring contributors connected with the latest issue:

Jan Rojewski – a columnist writing for Angora, Polityka, and Kanał Zero, but for us above all a poet.
Anna Gruver – a poet and translator from Donbas.
Alois Woldan – a distinguished Austrian Slavic scholar, Professor of Slavic Literature and Head of the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Vienna.

The discussion was moderated by Paweł Łyżwiński, editor of Radar magazine and Literary Projects Coordinator at Villa Decius.

The conversation revolved around the central theme of the new issue: Utopia and Dystopia. Professor Woldan faced Paweł Łyżwiński's probing questions about the utopian idea of Mitteleuropa and Galician nostalgia. Anna Gruver left the Kraków audience humbled with her stories about Ukraine's literary life and the remarkable attendance at literary events across the eastern border. Jan Rojewski tried to downplay the quality of his own writing, but the audience's response left little doubt: it is excellent poetry.

The evening also featured readings of poems from the latest issue, as well as words of gratitude to our partners in Austria and Ukraine, without whom none of this would have been possible.

The event took place as part of the Miłosz Festival at Potocki Palace. Thank you for your hospitality!
