New concert date 27.05.2024
The recital in the 'History Concerts' series, which was due to take place on 15 May, is being rescheduled.
We would like to inform you that due to reasons beyond our control, we are forced to postpone the scheduled 15 May recital in the series of "Historical Concerts" performed by Marcin Koziak at Villa Decius to 27 May (Monday) at 6 pm.
Tickets purchased for the concert on 15 May will remain valid for the concert on the new, rescheduled date.

On Monday, 27 May at 6 p.m. we would like to invite you to Villa Decius for the fourth in the series of "Historical Concerts". During the recital, pianist Marcin Koziak will present selected works by F. Liszt, J. Zarębski and others. Liszt, J. Zarębski and J. Brahms.

After the recital, we invite you to a meeting with the artist. In relation to the music programme, during his lecture Marcin Koziak will introduce the figure of the Polish composer Juliusz Zarębski, who perfected his composing technique under the guidance of, among others, Ferenc Liszt. Zarębski dedicated his Piano Quintet in G minor, later recognised as the most outstanding work of Polish Romantic chamber music, to his mentor. Among the themes of the period in question in the history of music, the works of the aforementioned Hungarian author Ferenc Liszt, one of the most eminent representatives of Romanticism, must not be omitted. The characteristics of the epoch will be complemented by the story of Johannes Brahms, who composed in the second half of the 19th century and consciously referred to Baroque and Classical forms. During the meeting, the audience will also learn how music was popularised in the days before radio and the Internet, and what role the piano played in this field.
