ROMANTISM III. TURN OF THE CENTURY
On 16 June (Sunday) at 5 p.m. we invite you to the concert Romanticism III. Turn of the Century. The programme includes a selection of lyrical works by Edward Grieg, Ignacy Jan Paderewski's Nocturne in B flat major, Isaac Albeniz's Corpus Christi in Sevilla, Enrique Granados' Los Requiebros, Leopold Godowsky's Etude in E flat minor for the left hand.
During the meeting with the artist, which will take place after the recital, the focus will be on, among others, the authors of music drawn from the Chopin tradition: Leopold Godowsky known as the ‘Chopin of the North’, Karol Szymanowski or Ignacy Jan Paderewski. The works of Spanish composers will be developed. Topics related to the development of playing technique will also be addressed, such as piano compositions for one-hand performance and the emergence of textures and ‘architecture’ in piano works.
Tickets at PLN 15.00 and PLN 10.00 can be purchased online or at Villa Decius before the concert.
