Italy at the Villa – a weekend full of attractions 24.07.2025
Starting Friday, July 25, we invite you to Villa Decius for a unique event: "Italy at the Villa"!
From Friday, July 25, Villa Decius will host three days dedicated to Italian culture, art, music, and architecture. The program, prepared in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Kraków and many partners, offers participants a chance to immerse themselves in the world of Italian aesthetics, traditions, and inspirations.
Friday, July 25 – opening of the event and concert
The event begins on Friday at 5:30 PM with the official opening and vernissage of the exhibition “Italia Giardino del Mondo: Where nature meets art, craft and design”, presenting the unique relationship between Italian nature, art, design, and craftsmanship.
At 6:00 PM, we invite you to a piano concert titled “Romanticismo ed Estro”, performed by an Italian quartet. The program will guide listeners through a musical journey filled with emotion, romanticism, and the expressive spirit of Italian music.
Saturday and Sunday – walks, guided tours, dance
On Saturday and Sunday, participants will have the opportunity to discover the traces of the Italian Renaissance in Kraków during guided thematic walks (starting at 11:00 AM at the Katyń Memorial next to St. Giles Church, ul. Grodzka 67). The walk is organized in cooperation with the Italian Cultural Institute.
On Saturday at 2:00 PM, join us for a court dance performance by the Cracovia Danza ensemble, inspired by Italian dance traditions. The performance will take place at Villa Decius and is open to all guests.
Guided tours of Villa Decius will also be held on both days (in Polish and English), offering visitors insight into the history of the residence and its Italian architectural and cultural influences.
Practical information
