Film music at Villa Decius 26.06.2025
Join us for a concert of film music inspired by the work of Joanna Bruzdowicz.

On Thursday, June 26 at 7pm, Villa Decius invites you to a concert dedicated to the work of Joanna Bruzdowicz, one of Poland's most important film music composers. As part of the SFERY:sound series, we will hear works created for the films of Agnès Varda and other directors of European cinema - this time in unique arrangements for cello and piano.
On stage will perform:
- Pavel Czarakchev - cello
- Piotr Kowal - piano
The program will include:
- Largo for cello and piano (Jacquot de Nantes)
- Romantic ballad (Le jupon rouge)
- Un air si pur
- Les Âmes grises
- The White King
All works arranged by Diego Santamaria, who brings out the emotional depth and richness of Bruzdowicz's musical language from film scores.
This will be a unique encounter between music and the architecture of Villa Decius, in which the sounds of European cinema gain a new dimension - from lyricism to drama to meditative simplicity. As part of the SFERY:sound series, the concerts become a space for creative dialogue between different fields of art, where contemporary and classical music meets the unique atmosphere of the place.
The Music Collective Association, co-organizer of the event, has been promoting innovative projects that connect artists, genres and audiences, opening up to new forms of expression and integration of creative communities. This time will be no different, with the event sure to allow listeners to experience music not only as sound, but also as an element that builds community and strengthens the dialogue between culture, history and modernity.
Admission is free! Free tickets available for purchase exclusively through the official booking system.
Event organized in cooperation with the Music Collective Association.
