Dukaty Decjusza – education, workshops and an overnight stay at the Villa Decius 26.02.2026
The educational programme “Dukaty Decjusza” is a flagship project of the Villa, addressed to students aged 10–13. Recruitment for the next edition is now open – we are waiting for your school to join us.
Students arrive at the Villa in the afternoon and spend the night in its representative historic halls. A range of special activities awaits participants on site:
• Guided tour of the Renaissance Villa
• Knightly show
• Hands-on numismatic workshops
The evening also includes educational sessions led by our educators, who:
• introduce the history of money from antiquity to the present day,
• present Justus Ludwik Decius and Nicolaus Copernicus and their Renaissance debate on monetary reform,
• explain the mechanisms of Polish and European monetary policy.
We say goodbye the following morning, while students and teachers retain access to the educational platform dukatydecjusza.pl, where they can consolidate the knowledge gained during the programme.
“Dukaty Decjusza” is a proven model of active education. Since 2012, we have hosted more than 3,000 students from the Małopolska region. If you would like your school to participate in the next edition, please contact the programme coordinator to arrange the details and available dates.
The programme includes overnight accommodation and full board for participants.
The “Dukaty Decjusza” project is delivered in accordance with the Child Protection Standards implemented at the Institute.
