We know the results of Composition Competition “Art and Violence”
The subject of the contest was a work for a piano trio reflecting on the idea of a connection between different forms of violence and art and its artistic interpretation.
The jury members:
- Prof. Dr hab. Wojciech Widłak – composer (Poland) – chairman,
- Dr Paul Clift – composer (Australia / Switzerland),
- Shafi Badreddin – composer / conductor (Syria / Luxemburg);
have judged 31 scores from composers from around the world: England, Finland, France, Hungary, Germany, Iran, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Syria, Ukraine and USA and decided to give:
I prize: Tomasz Szczepanik, Poland
II prize: Valentin Schaff, Germany
We would like to congratulate the winners and all the participants for their great effort!
Performance of the winning works will take place during a live concert at Villa Decius in Krakow (Poland) in April 2021.
