Braska at Strzelnica na Woli. Sounds that carry us away and a place that truly matters 30.12.2025
The concert by Braska, closing this year’s Wola Art series, once again confirmed that Strzelnica na Woli is a truly special space. It is a place where music does not simply resonate, but actively works with silence, focus and the audience’s attentiveness. That evening, the sounds carried us far – toward nature, emotion and inner calm.
Braska, the duo formed by Joanna Markowska and Michał Bramari, invited listeners on a subtle yet deeply immersive musical journey. Soulful vocals, the acoustic sound of the handpan and delicate electronic textures created a space filled with harmony. This is music that does not impose itself on the listener; instead, it opens space for personal reflection and emotional response. The audience listened intently, almost in silence, allowing each sound to fully unfold.
From the very beginning, the Wola Art series has shown how essential such intimate, authentic encounters are – rooted in genuine connection between artists and audiences. Strzelnica na Woli has become a place where diverse sounds – from jazz and ambient music to electronic, world and acoustic forms – find their natural home. Most importantly, they reach people who want to listen, discover and be part of this musical diversity.
The Braska concert was also another strong example of how important it has been to expand the activities of the Willa Decjusza Institute of Culture to include Strzelnica na Woli. Thanks to this, culture moves closer to residents – neighbours, local communities and all the people of Kraków seeking meaningful, intimate cultural experiences beyond the usual paths. Strzelnica is becoming a meeting space where institutional experience meets openness and a strong sense of community.
We truly cherish the diversity of sounds that fill Strzelnica. We value the attentiveness, calm and quality of the encounters that happen here. And we feel that this is only the beginning.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Braska concert and helped co-create the Wola Art series throughout the year.
See you at the next concerts – in the new year.
