An evening of sonatas 19.12.2023
We invite you to a concert by graduates of the Academy of Music in Kraków.
On Friday 22 December at 6 p.m., we invite you to Villa Decius for an intimate concert entitled 'An Evening of Sonatas'.
The programme will include works by the German composer Johannes Brahms, who remained faithful to classical musical forms in his work.
The evening will feature Marta Lizak on violin and Szymon Paruzel at the piano.
Admission to the concert is free.
Marta Lizak is a graduate of Instrumental Department of the Academy of Music in Kraków (violin), Department of Management and Social Communication of the Jagiellonian University (management in culture) and Department of Sound Direction of the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (music direction). She collaborates with many orchestras in Poland and abroad. She was concertmaster of the Nairobi Orchestra and created the violin and viola class at the Kenya Conservatoire of Music. In 2019, she was awarded the Honoris Gratia badge by the Mayor of the City of Krakow for her contribution to the culture of Krakow.
Szymon Paruzel was born in 1997 in Łódź. He graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in the piano class of Professor Gajusz Kęska (AMKP) and in 2023 with a Master's degree in the class of Professor Jerzy Sterczyński (UMFC). He performs at home and abroad as a soloist and chamber musician with a wide and varied repertoire, ranging from Handel, Rameau and Purcell to Serocki, Krauze or Bacewicz. He persistently promotes 20th-century Polish music, contemporary music and early music, the latter often performed on the harpsichord and clavichord. He has honed his skills under such pedagogues as Andrzej Jasiński, Krzysztof Jablonski, Ingolf Wunder, Peter Jablonski, Władysław Klosiewicz and Maria Erdman. In addition, he graduated with a degree in law from the Jagiellonian University in 2022.
