A pearl of the Renaissance 01.06.2025
Exhibition of paintings at Villa Decius.

As part of the ‘Reinterpretation of Heritage’ series, Krakow artists travelled along the roads of Wola Justowska, communed with nature, sparked their imagination and tried to capture what impressed them most. This is how an exhibition of paintings by various authors, members of the Krakow branch of the Association of Polish Artists, entitled ‘The Pearl of the Renaissance in the Wola landscape’, came about. The interiors of Villa Decius will show the latest paintings interpreting the qualities of the historic palace and park complex and its immediate surroundings. The exhibition, realised in historic interiors, will symbolically combine heritage and the products of contemporary art. For a group of artists who have been connected to the city of Krakow for many years, this undertaking is an impulse to deepen their activities, create new works and present their artistic profiles. For the public, it is an invitation to join the dialogue between tradition and modernity.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Sunday 1 June at 5 p.m. It will also be an opportunity to meet and talk to the authors of the works.
