Wspólne Brzmienia presents: Equinox
The spring equinox in nature is a moment of entering a new rhythm and awakening energy. Polyphonic soundscapes emerge: birds, leaves, and wind. It is precisely this moment that the duo Trifonidis/Ryć captures in their compositions.
Maciej and Witek will present a kaleidoscope of sounds inspired by nature coming back to life. Expect a journey from spacious acoustic ambients to pulsating synthesizers.
Maciej Trifonidis – multi-instrumentalist, experienced composer, cultural animator and populariser of knowledge about mammoths. His exceptional set of instruments includes handpans, tongue drums, frame drums, guzheng, transverse flute, various flutes, drums and piano.
Witek Ryć – rooted in the experimental music scene. In the duo he is responsible for the electronic layer, combining a modular synthesizer with acoustic instruments. On 21 March, his new release with Sławek Pezda titled “Kardamon” will be published by Funky Mamas and Papis.
The Trifonidis/Ryć duo are seekers of new sounds, collecting unexpected musical stories. They invite listeners to discover something more in music: emotions, moving moments and vivid sonic imagery.
