Weekend with Culture for Seniors 2026 at Villa Decius
On the first weekend of October, Villa Decius joins the nationwide “Weekend with Culture for Seniors 2026” initiative, organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. On Sunday, 4 October, we invite senior visitors and their loved ones to visit Villa Decius. The programme includes individual tours of the historic interiors as well as an intergenerational mosaic-making workshop.
Villa Decius will be open to visitors from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Last admission will be at 5:30 pm.
We invite you to discover the history, architecture and interiors of Villa Decius at your own pace. Visitors will be able to use audio guides available in Polish and English, presenting the history of the Renaissance residence and the people associated with it.
As part of “Weekend with Culture for Seniors”, admission is free for senior visitors and those accompanying them. It is a perfect opportunity to visit Villa Decius together with a partner, friends, children or grandchildren.
Intergenerational mosaic-making workshop, 11:30 am
At 11:30 am, we invite you to join an intergenerational mosaic-making workshop. Seniors, bring along your grandson, granddaughter, adult child or another loved one and create something together.
The workshop is open to participants aged 4 and over, with no upper age limit. It is designed for children, adults and seniors alike, and no previous artistic experience is required.
Villa Decius itself will provide the inspiration for the workshop. Participants will discover the decoration of the first-floor loggia, learn more about the tradition of azulejos and the art of mosaic-making, and then create their own compositions.
The workshop will begin at 11:30 am and will last approximately 1.5 hours. Participation is free of charge, but free admission tickets must be booked through the ticketing system.
