“The Legacy of Fryderyk Chopin” – Concert and Lecture at Villa Decius

On Fryderyk Chopin’s birthday, Villa Decius returns to a tradition that never goes out of style: music that speaks for itself. On 1 March 2026 at 6:00 PM, we invite you to “The Legacy of Fryderyk Chopin” — featuring Chopin’s works arranged for violin and piano, Romantic-era repertoire, and a lecture on Chopin’s heritage and his students, including Princess Marcelina Czartoryska.

Traditionally, on Fryderyk Chopin’s birthday, Villa Decius resonates with the composer’s music. On Sunday, 1 March 2026 at 6:00 PM, we invite you to a concert titled “The Legacy of Fryderyk Chopin.”

The programme will include works by Fryderyk Chopin arranged for violin and piano, alongside selected pieces by Romantic-era composers. The musical presentation will be complemented by a lecture on Chopin’s legacy, with special focus on the composer’s students — including Princess Marcelina Czartoryska and her efforts to promote the heritage of Poland’s greatest pianist.
