Sculpture and piano music

The opening of an exhibition by Krystyna Nowakowska and a piano recital by Izabela Jutrzenka-Trzebiatowska.
The Villa Decius Institute for Culture invites you to the opening of the jubilee exhibition of Krystyna Nowakowska's sculpture on Sunday 13 October at 5 p.m., which sums up 50 years of the artist's creative work. The event will be highlighted by a piano recital performed by Izabela Jutrzenka-Trzebiatowska.

Krystyna Nowakowska - artist sculptor
Graduated from the Lyceum of Fine Arts in Jarosław, obtained her diploma under the supervision of Professor Jerzy Bandura at the Department of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. She deals with sculpture, creating unique compositions in wax, which are cast in bronze using the ‘smelted models’ technique. The results of her work have been presented in many individual and collective exhibitions at home and abroad, including the Gallery ‘ARTEMIS’‘ in Krakow in 2002, the ZPAP Gallery “Pro Arte”’ in Zielona Góra in 2003, the galleries Vollenhouve-Holland 1992, La Galerie du City Concorde-Luxemburg 1996, the Konsthalle Solvesborg Sweden 2000, the Museum of the City of Krakow 2004, the TAKT Gallery in Vienna 2017 and many others. The artist has also participated in many group exhibitions in Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden and the Netherlands. In 2016, she was awarded the Bronze Medal ‘Merited for Culture Gloria Artis’ by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. She is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, belongs to the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Krakow and to the Creative Association ‘Polart’.

Izabela Jutrzenka-Trzebiatowska - pianist, music theoretician, editor
She completed her master's degree at the Academy of Music in Kraków in Prof. Mirosław Herbowski's piano class, followed by postgraduate master's studies at the Academy of Music in Łódź in Prof. Mariusz Drzewicki's class. In 2015, she also obtained her Master of Arts degree from the Department of Music Theory at the Academy of Music in Kraków.
She performs at home and abroad; in Austria, Germany, Spain, France and Hungary. She has performed, among others, at the Wiener Musikverein, Haus der Musik in Vienna and the Polish Library in Paris. She took part in the Ung Klassik International Festival in Norway (2013), the 19th Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Festival of Polish Composers (2014), the 4th Slavonic Muses Festival at the H. Wieniawski Philharmonic Hall in Lublin (2017), and performed at the Stage of the Young of the 47th Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk. She has performed both piano concertos of Fryderyk Chopin, collaborating with eminent conductors - Tadeusz Strugałła and the Sinfonietta Cracovia orchestra, Sebastian Perłowski and the Cracovie Ensemble, Andreas Winnen and the orchestras of TH Köln and then the Junge Kammerphilharmonie Freiburg during the Lubomirski Festival concert tour. He is a member of the Polart Creative Association.
