Piano recital

We invite you to a concert of piano music at Villa Decius.
On Sunday, 28 April at 5 p.m., we invite you to a piano recital by Japanese pianist Ayako Kitanaki.
During the concert, we will hear works by Karol Szymanowski and Fryderyk Chopin.

Ayako Kitanaka comes from Osaka (Japan), where she graduated from Osaka Kyouiku University in 2004. Between 2006 and 2008, she completed postgraduate studies at the Academy of Music in Kraków under the guidance of Professor Andrzej Pikul, graduating with honours. She is a laureate of: 1st prize in the Professor Tadeusz Żmudziński Academic Competition (Kraków 2006), special award of the XX. Prince Antoni Radziwiłł Tournament in Antonin, a distinction in the 11th International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition in Cracow, and many piano competitions in Japan. She has performed in many cities in Poland, including: Zakopane, Katowice, Kraków, Jasło and Stalowa Wola, as well as the most prestigious concert halls in Japan (Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto). A significant place in her repertoire is occupied by Polish music (by F. Chopin, J. Zarębski, K. Szymanowski, G. Bacewicz, K. Moszumańska-Nazar), which she promotes with great commitment in Japan. She has the entire range of Karol Szymanowski's piano compositions in her repertoire and has been recognised as an outstanding interpreter of his works. She has also taken part in integral performances of Karol Szymanowski's works in Krakow and Paris. She is a professor at Kansai Women's College and Osaka Kyouiku Fukushi Vocational School.
