Paweł Mańka earned a Fryderyk Award nomination with his very first album, “Kubizm”. Now you can hear this exceptional guitarist and composer live at Strzelnica na Woli!
After a short break, our intimate concerts are back. We’re looking forward to another chance to come together and experience live music up close.
Paweł will share the most personal side of his work. Here, jazz and improvisation meet contemporary composition and experimental electronics. Extended musical forms give ideas time to unfold as the sound gradually evolves. It’s an invitation to listen closely and discover just how much can happen within a single piece.

Paweł Mańka – a composer and guitarist working at the intersection of improvised music and jazz, contemporary composition and experimental electronics. He is currently based in Copenhagen.
He made his recording debut in 2021 with “Kubizm”, recorded with Semiotic Quintet and premiered at the Warsaw Summer Jazz Days festival. The album earned him a Fryderyk Award nomination. A release by the nonet Akimbo is scheduled for 2026 on the New York record label Inner Circle Music.
He holds a master’s degree in composition from Syddansk Musikkonservatorium in Odense, where he studied with Erik Ørum von Spreckelsen, Ejnar Kanding and Rasmus Zwicki. He also developed his artistic practice under the guidance of leading figures in improvised music, including Christian Lillinger, Kit Downes, Jim Black and Marc Ducret, as well as artists working in electronics, sound art and performative composition, such as Christian Fennesz, Maja S. K. Ratkje and Simon Steen-Andersen.
He was selected for the National Institute of Music and Dance’s “Jazz Recording Debut” programme and received a scholarship through the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage’s “Young Poland” programme.

Concerts take place in a hall with seating. Car and bicycle parking are available in front of the building, and the venue can be reached by bus routes 102, 134, 152 and 192.

Strzelnica na Woli is a cultural meeting place in Kraków’s Wola Justowska neighbourhood, run by the Villa Decius Institute for Culture in the historic wooden building of a former garrison shooting range. It hosts intimate concerts, classes and community events – opportunities to discover art, explore your interests and spend time together.
