Marathon of Dramatic Miniatures
The Marathon of Dramatic Miniatures presents four short theatrical forms based on texts written during screenwriting and playwriting residencies held at Willa Decjusza as part of the Forum of Cultural Dialogue. Residencies for Screenwriters and Playwrights.
In the autumn, playwrights from Poland, Germany, Turkey, and Ukraine worked at Willa Decjusza, each creating a short dramatic text. These miniatures were then passed on to directing students from the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków and the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Białystok, who were given complete artistic freedom to develop their own stage interpretations.
The event is the result of cooperation between the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Kraków, the Willa Decjusza Association, and the Willa Decjusza Institute of Culture, and represents the next step in the residency process—from writing the text to presenting it to a live audience.
